Founded 1959   *****    Books and Ancient Prints

THE PRINTS

Our main domain of specialization in the arts field is the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, of Sardinia, and also ancient engravings of the cities of Rome and New York.

The scope is to collect and archive the greatest number possible of original works depicting views, landscapes, costumes, etc. with a particular focus on cartography, which delineates, as time goes by, the evolution of the territory. All of the elements that characterize the different cartographic techniques, the special original or posthumous colorings, the precious stems and borders, sumptuous blazons, etc.

This collection, accumulated in over 30 years, encompasses all of the most significant authors (drawers, painters, engravers, etc.) starting from the 16th century. It has now acquired the role of pivotal element in the publishing of our editions such as city views and landscapes of Southern Italy (Rome, Naples, Sorrento, Reggio Calabria, Cosenza, Catanzaro, Crotone, Vibo Valentia and their provinces), costumes and colored maps.

THE BOOKS

Our publishing activities concern not only the reprint of some very precious and rare volumes, of a high historical and cultural value, very much appreciated by researchers and connoisseurs, but also the publishing of photographic books whose color images are edited according to a rigorous choice and for their artistic value.

THE IDEAS

We recently published an Address Book (Letters Book) usable over more than one year where to note addresses and telephone numbers. Its format is 5.5 in x 9.4 in. It's silk bound with imprinting of gold characters. Ideal for prestigious gifts, the book features letters from the ancient alphabet of Felice Feliciano dating the 16th century. These letters have been exclusively redesigned for us. Each letter is also illustrated with one of 26 images reproducing old prints of one of four different subjects: New York, Rome, Kingdom of Naples, and Calabria.
